Teología política de Lezama Lima

Abstract

En Los límites del origenismo, Duanel Díaz Infante sostiene que las obras de José Lezama Lima y su grupo pueden pensarse cerca del modernismo conservador que floreció en Alemania antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, haciendo alusión a escritores y pensadores como Ernst Jünger, Martin Heidegger, Oswald Spengler y Carl Schmitt, aunque también a un movimiento político más extendido y de fronteras difusas, que desempeñó un papel central en la Alemania de los años ’20 y ’30. En este trabajo propongo una discusión de esa hipótesis. En la primera parte trazo puntos de contacto entre alemanes y origenistas a través del catolicismo, la búsqueda de una regeneración nacional y la extracción social de la que parten o tienden a representar. En las partes siguientes demuestro que la hipótesis es insostenible. Para esto, comparo el concepto de teología política de Carl Schmitt con la poesía y los ensayos de Lezama Lima, lo que permite señalar que Schmitt desarrolla un pensamiento político plenamente secularizado basado en el conflicto mientras que Lezama retrocede y propone por encima una concepción de la nación trascendental y, por lo tanto, pre-política.
