Founded in 1897, Universidad Nacional de La Plata is located in the east of Argentina, 55 kilometres away from the city of Buenos Aires, capital of the country. It is a general education university with 18 schools comprising the natural and exact sciences, the social sciences and the humanities. It also has five secondary schools and one primary school. It is a university with a high reputation in Argentina and the region and it receives students from different regions of the country as well as other Latin American countries. In the 2021 World QS rankings it was ranked 32nd within Latin American universities. The case reported in this chapter is based on the School of Humanities and Sciences of Education and the reason is practical as we are teachers and researchers there. Table 1 provides an overview of the PhDs awarded by this School in 2019.
