Justo, Korn, Ghioldi: El Partido Socialista y la tradición liberal

Abstract

Desde hace décadas el Partido Socialista argentino ha recibido la permanente crítica por su vinculación con la tradición liberal. En este artículo nos proponemos analizar los importantes cambios en el modo en que desde el PS se leyó al liberalismo. Para ello abordaremos la obra de tres importantes intelectuales socialistas: Juan B. Justo, Alejandro Korn y Américo Ghioldi. Señalaremos cómo en el tránsito que va de Justo a Ghioldi se pasó de una interpretación en clave económica, como “librecambio”, a una lectura ética y pedagógica que pensaba al liberalismo en términos de libertades civiles y valores civilizatorios.
