Abstract

Documentamos el primer registro de Epicrates alvarezi en la provincia de San Luis, Argentina. Esta boa arcoiris ha sido categorizada como amenazada por lo que los especimenes hallados aportan valiosa información para la conservación de la fauna chaqueña. Estos registros además extienden la distribución conocida para la especie aproximadamente 85 km al sur-oeste del Chaco Seco, siendo los registros más austales y occidentales para la especie.
