Acilfloroglucinoles del helecho Elaphoglossum lindbergii: localización y estructura

Abstract

La presencia de acilfloroglucinoles en helechos ha sido frecuentemente asociada a la presencia de glándulas secretoras internas y/o externas presentes en su rizoma. A pesar de que la presencia de floroglucinoles en helechos del género Elaphoglossum fue detectada por primera vez en 1983, la existencia de dichas glándulas no había sido reportada para helechos de este género hasta ahora. En un trabajo previo se aislaron e identificaron 4 acilfloroglucinoles prenilados de E. lindbergii. Un nuevo estudio del extracto etéreo del rizoma de esta especie permitió el aislamiento e identificación de 5 acilfloroglucinoles nuevos (1-5). Los rizomas y raíces de E. lindbergii fueron secados al aire, triturados y extraídos con éter etílico. El extracto fue fraccionado por cromatografía en columna y las fracciones de interés fueron purificadas por HPLC de fase normal dando lugar a la obtención de 1-5. Las estructuras de los compuestos nuevos fueron establecidas por análisis de datos espectroscópicos y comparación con información de literatura. Los acilfloroglucinoles prenilados son de gran interés ya que presentan efectos molusquicidas, antibacterianos, y antidepresivos, entre otros. Parte del material vegetal fresco se empleó para un estudio anatómico. El examen de las escamas que recubren el rizoma de esta especie permitió la detección de glándulas secretoras en toda su superficie. Estas glándulas secretan una oleorresina de color amarillo anaranjado que contiene los acilfloroglucinoles.
