Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the progress made in the field of transitional justice with respect to crimes against humanity in its economic dimension. In 2015, the first businessman is being prosecuted for the economic motives behind his participation in the crimes committed by the Argentine military dictatorship. In this context, we ask ourselves about the institutional conditions of possibility at the international, regional and local levels for the economic motivation to be thematized in transitional justice as a field of study.
