Políticas indigenistas en Catamarca y Jujuy

Abstract

En esta ponencia retomamos los aportes del indigenismo, entendido como una teoría política que analiza el estudio de la relación entre el Estado y los pueblos indígenas que se encuentran en su territorio. Partiendo de esta teoría, nos preguntamos por los modos en que opera el indigenismo en los niveles subnacionales. Esta teoría ha abordado el Estado como una unidad nacional, donde el advenimiento de la nacionalidad es una de las principales tensiones a la horade gobernar lo indígena. Seleccionamos como unidades de análisis a dos delas provincias que forman parte de la región del Noroeste Argentino (NOA), la provincia de Jujuy y la provincia de Catamarca.
