Abstract

Los métodos cualitativos de investigación social son cada vez más importantes en las diferentes disciplinas que integran las ciencias sociales contemporáneas. Son utilizados en tesis de licenciatura, maestría y doctorado, en estudios organizacionales, en políticas públicas y hasta en estudios de mercado. Este libro reúne, a partir de la experiencia de seminarios, cursos de metodología y talleres de tesis del autor, cuestiones centrales de los distintos métodos cualitativos presentados desde una perspectiva original y poco abordada en textos de metodología. Métodos cualitativos en ciencias sociales. Historia, técnicas y estrategias de investigación es también una herramienta imprescindible para los estudiantes y graduados de ciencias sociales interesados en la investigación cualitativa. El itinerario propuesto comprende diversos autores, geografías y disciplinas en las cuales se suceden los paradigmas y modos de investigación, el análisis de datos a través de la inducción analítica y la teoría fundamentada, los estudios de casos, los estudios comparativos, las etnografías, la triangulación y los métodos mixtos. En este viaje, algunas escalas puedan parecer digresiones, sin embargo, constituyen una de las apuestas más enriquecedoras e iluminadoras sobre los desafíos, límites y alcances de la metodología cualitativa.
