La emergencia del nuevo cine argentino desata una serie de debates teóricos. Probablemente una de las caracterizaciones más convincentes es la que lo define como surgido de una misma crisis, no sólo en el campo cinematográfico, sino también de una misma crisis social. En el marco de un análisis sociológico de este fenómeno cultural, el presente trabajo planteará una hipótesis de lectura para algunas de las producciones audiovisuales del denominado nuevo cine argentino, en pos de establecer conceptualmente la estructuración desde el polo productivo de la elaboración imaginaria de esta crisis social, concretamente, de la emergencia de las clases populares en sus filmes. Para finalizar, se evaluará la productividad de la hipótesis de lectura basada en una definición teórica de lo popular, aplicándola a un cuerpo de filmes del realizador argentino Adrián Caetano, para concluir con reflexiones sobre la importancia del cruce entre la estructuración textual y la estructuración en el momento del consumo.

The emergence of the new argentine cinema gives rise to some theoretical debates. Probably, one of the most convincing characterizations is the one that defines it as emerged from a crisis, not only from the movie industry, but also from a social crisis. From a sociological analysis framework of this cultural phenomenon, this piece of work establishes a reading hypothesis for some of the audiovisual productions from the so called new argentine cinema, in the search to conceptually establish the structuring form de productive pole of the imaginary elaboration of this social crisis, specifically, of the emergence of the popular classes in their films. Finally, we will evaluate the reading hypothesis productivity based on a theoretical definition of popular, applying it to a body of films directed by Adrian Caetano. To conclude, we present some reflections about the relevance of the intersection between the textual structuring and the consumption structuring.
