Abstract

En esta tesis se estudió la variación de la TCC de maíz post-floración como producto de factores ambientales (i.e. radiación incidente y temperatura) y fisiológicos (eficiencia de uso de la radiación -EUR-). El primer objetivo del trabajo cuantificar el efecto del ambiente fototermal como factor limitante de la TCC. El segundo objetivo del trabajo fue probar si la disminución del nitrógeno foliar (N-foliar) post-floración produce cambios sobre la capacidad fotosintética foliar de una magnitud suficiente para explicar la progresiva disminución de la EUR. Los resultados evidenciaron que otros factores, además de la disminución de la radiación incidente, la temperatura y el N-foliar, serían responsables de la reducción de TCC post-floración.
