Abstract

Recent Argentine cinema about The Malvinas/Falklands’s War provides new aesthetic proposals to reflect about art, past and memory. This film corpus is mostly composed by young filmmakers who were born between the seventies and eighties. These films introduce new voices and stories related to the war that were unheard or silenced, offering a more collective narrative about what actually happened: argentinian and british veterans who rebuild together their memories, the voices of the Kelpers, families and other people related to the islands’ space, including the story of the veteran women that participated in the armed conflict of the South Atlantic.
