Abstract

The present work aims at getting to know the sociolinguistic features of the population of the AMBA. It is in our interest to acknowledge the social importance of migration in the Greater Buenos Aires, in relation to the forming of different Spanish varieties, as a result of the coexistence of different languages. This work constitutes a continuity and deepening of the actions proposed in previous research carried out at Universidad Nacional de Moreno (UNM) (Speranza 2017, 2018, in press). It entails a stage of ethnographic research: the collection of spoken and written corpus produced by subjects in linguistic contact situation, and the productions of monolingual subjects. An analysis of the collected material took place. That stage consists of the description and explanation of the particularities observed in the corpus. The methodology used is that of linguistic variation, within the framework of Ethnopragmatics. This entails the undertaking of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The data gathered constitute the basis upon which, in the long term, we will be able to: 1) build the specific propositions for the forming of a grammar that explains the uses which have not been contemplated in the standard variety corresponding to the Spanish varieties of Spanish, in contact with Latin American languages, in light of the research conducted on the basis of linguistic variation analysis (Speranza 2014, 2016, 2018; Speranza, Fernández y Pagliaro 2012); 2) contribute to the development of the Digital Collection of Linguistic Studies (CODEL-UNM) so that it can be included in the space dedicated to the Linguistic Studies Programme of the official webpage of the University
