Cuestión populista y discurso capitalista: Un abordaje desde la izquierda lacaniana

Abstract

Este trabajo propone un abordaje relacional de la cuestión populista a partir de elementos de la enseñanza freudiano-lacaniana en su articulación con el posmarxismo. Contra enfoques esencialistas del populismo, identifica ciertos aspectos conceptuales de la forma populista en sus relaciones diferenciales con el discurso capitalista. El primer argumento de este artículo es que numerosos estudios sobre populismo fallan en identificar a lo más genuinamente populista de ciertas experiencias políticas contemporáneas. Ello debido, principalmente, a que se tiende a identificar como "populista" a cualquier forma política en la que se evidencie una modalidad de agarre ideológico-fantasmático diferente a la dominante. Es decir, diferente a la ideología o fantasma del discurso capitalista. Frente a ello, se afirma que el agarre ideológico no es privativo de la forma populista, sino que estas experiencias implican a cierta forma ideológica entre otras posibles. El segundo argumento es que lo populista puede constituirse, eventualmente, como un resto o residuo sintomático del discurso capitalista que éste es incapaz de reabsorber en su circuito. Y que, por lo tanto, es susceptible de reivindicar esa forma residual y, al mismo tiempo, de antagonizar con el discurso capitalista de manera radical.
