The military coup of 1955 that overthrew the second government of Juan Domingo Perón meant for the patagonian territories an interruption in the institutional order for the new provinces. As in the rest of the country, in Rio Negro the military interventions induced pursuit, detentions and repression in order to avoid military resistance. The action of the Provincial Commission of Inquiry was established in 1955 and its subsidiaries throughout the province translated the social tensionevidenced in the numerous complaints and investigations launched - but also the adherence to the principles of great party coup of the Firemens society. As a response to the political shift suffered during the peronism, warned the active participation of radicals and socialists who acceded to the revolutionary objectives and participated in the commissions and boards advocated by the federal financial controller, sign of weakness and lack of confidence in the democratic political system with which this province began his own independent journey. The "Repression from above" would be present from the beginning of the military government provided by an active civil society and complainant that in few occasions intervened to prevent situations of inequality.
