Abstract

La prensa desempeña un rol fundamental en la vida política de las sociedades, temaque es reconocido en los numerosos y variados estudios que desde diversas perspectivasabordaron dicha relación. En el amplio abanico de trabajos que se acercaron a esta temática en la historia argentina se destacan especialmente aquellos que se preocuparonpor indagar sobre la compleja relación entre prensa y peronismo. En este capítulo analizaremos el caso delDiario del Foro, un periódico que empezó a publicarse el 5 de agostode 1941 presentándose originalmente como «un órgano de publicidad esencialmentejurídico», pero que, a partir del surgimiento del peronismo, se irá convirtiendo paulatinamente en un órgano de difusión partidaria.Este caso, nos permitió analizar el proceso de peronización de la prensa correntina, tanto desde la perspectiva de la historia de la prensa, como de la historia política provincial.Describimos las transformaciones a nivel morfológico y editorial del diario, teniendo cuenta el contexto político e indagando los cambios que evidenciaron su peronización con elobjetivo de identificar los vínculos entre prensa y política en la provincia entre 1941 y 1951.Para el análisis utilizamos la colección del DF existente en el Archivo General de la Provincia de Corrientes (AGPC) que reúne ejemplares desde agosto de 1941 a mayo de 19517.
