Arquitectura, ciudad y dictadura

Abstract

En los últimos años ha crecido la atención sobre las marcas que el terrorismo de Estado dejó en un sinnúmero de sitios, barrios, calles y edificios desperdigados por todo el territorio nacional. Escenarios del poder desaparecedor desplegado por la dictadura a partir de 1976, en la terca permanencia de sus muros siguen presentando el desafío de encontrar el modo en que se conviertan en índices de memoria de lo sucedido, incluso cuando se los intenta dotar de nuevos significados y habitar con actividades que generen un debate sobre ellos mismos y sobre una serie histórica y política que también se conecta con nuestro presente (el caso de la ex ESMA quizás sea el más famoso). Sin embargo, la relación del último gobierno militar y las formas construidas, arquitectónicas y urbanas, puede rastrearse desde otra perspectiva en las propias obras públicas con las que explícitamente intervino en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Poniendo el foco en estos objetos y proyectos se abre un rico panorama que no soporta las lecturas sin mediaciones.
