El Bloque de Tierra Comprimida (BTC) es un mampuesto fabricado mediante la compresión de tierra alojada dentro de una prensa de accionamiento manual o automatizado. Esta forma de ser producidos les confiere una gran estabilidad dimensional, lo cual permite confeccionar bloques con agujeros y encastres, minimizando -e incluso eliminando- la utilización de morteros de asiento. Dependiendo de la forma del molde interior de la prensa pueden producirse diferentes tipos de BTC, lo cual posibilita el empleo de diferentes sistemas constructivos.
