Indicios, criminalística y método científico

Abstract

Entre las contribuciones del Siglo XIX se destaca el desarrollo de la criminalística como disciplina metodológicamente definida. Su método supone el paradigma experimental galileano del “ensayo y el error” y contribuye a conformar el paradigma indicial. Padres fundadores son Cesare Lombroso y Hans Gustav Gross. Ambos postulan una conexión causal e intercomunicativa entre el objeto de estudio de la investigación criminalística, entendida implícitamente, como una semiótica indicial del comportamiento humano. El acierto metodológico de ambos, fue la integración de técnicas, teorías y procedimientos provenientes de distintos campos. Ahora bien esta vinculación entre metodología, semiótica, criminalística y ciencias médicas o de la “salud” (especialmente psiquiatría y psicología) no deja de ser significativa pero también inquietante, sea en contexto positivista como post positivista, pues vinculó los conceptos de salud (personal y pública), normalidad enfermedad (mental), naturaleza y su consecuente intervención profesional, control social y “cura”.
