Crecimiento y capacidad de remoción de lindano por Streptomyces M7 en suelos contaminados

Abstract

Introducción: El lindano, plaguicida organoclorado recalcitrante, fue detectado en la provincia de Tucumán, Argentina, en concentraciones superiores a las permitidas. Streptomyces M7 es un microorganismo que posee capacidad para crecer en lindano y removerlo del medio de cultivo. Objetivo: estudiar el crecimiento y la capacidad de remoción de lindano por Streptomyces M7 en suelos contaminados. Materiales y Métodos: Se inocularon concentraciones variables de Streptomyces M7 (0,5 a 4 g Kg-1) en suelos estériles contaminados con lindano (100 µg Kg-1), determinándose crecimiento microbiano (UFC g-1) y lindano residual por cromatografía gaseosa. Resultados y Discusión: El inóculo óptimo de Streptomyces M7 fue 2g Kg-1 de suelo, alcanzando una remoción de lindano del 56,0%. La microflora indígena no afectó la remoción de lindano en suelo no estéril y Streptomyces M7 removió el plaguicida en un 68%. Estos resultados permitieron establecer que Streptomyces M7 tiene gran potencial para remover lindano del suelo.
