Abstract

El Gran Buenos Aires o Región Gran Buenos Aires -conforme a la denominación del INDEC (2003)- es el aglomerado urbano de mayor tamaño de Argentina, tanto en superficie como en población. Según el último Censo (2010) en este territorio habitan 13.601.547 de personas (el 34% de la población del país) y se produce alrededor del 40% del PBI nacional. La delimitación del INDEC incluye a la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (CABA), a la totalidad de los 24 municipios de las Coronas I y II (que conforman el Gran Buenos Aires –GBA-) y a 6 municipios de la Corona III cuyos territorios están parcialmente incluidos por la envolvente de población (Escobar, Pilar, Pdte. Perón, Gral. Rodríguez, San Vicente y Marcos Paz)...
