La argumentación en las noticias: una aproximación al análisis de la estructura argumentativa a partir del modelo de Toulmin en el marco del ACD

Abstract

Este libro presenta una herramienta de análisis lingüístico para dar cuenta de la argumentación en los textos: el análisis de la estructura argumentativa, formulado a partir del llamado “modelo de Toulmin” y adaptado en el marco del Análisis Crítico del Discurso. El libro está destinado a estudiantes e investigadores de la Lingüística y de las Ciencias Sociales que se interesen por el discurso y su funcionamiento. La herramienta de análisis textual presentada permite sistematizar la manera como se conforman los encadenamientos argumentativos en textos que no pertenecen a los géneros clasificados como “argumentativos”. Para ello, se muestran como ejemplos noticias y crónicas periodísticas publicadas los principales diarios argentinos. La propuesta de análisis se enmarca teóricamente en el ACD y por lo tanto se desarrolla mediante una metodología cualitativa. Desde este marco teórico, se considera que el discurso tiene un papel preponderante en la transmisión de ideologías y en la puesta en práctica de mecanismos de dominación. En este sentido, el análisis de la estructura argumentativa de los textos periodísticos informativos permite relevar cómo se estructuran tesis, argumentos y garantías que fundamentan la construcción de determinadas visiones del mundo como verdaderas y objetivas.
