Degradación de compuestos nitrogenados

Abstract

En este capítulo se aborda el destino de los aminoácidos y nucleótidos producidos por la degradación de proteínas y ácidos nucleícos en los animales, ya sean provenientes de la dieta como de la propia biosíntesis, los que, por haber cumplido su función, o por encontrarse mal plegados como las proteínas, deben ser degradados. Asimismo se explica el camino metabólico que sigue el nitrógeno y el carbono presente en dichas moléculas.
