Extractivismo en territorios del norte de la Patagonia. La frutihorticultura en los valles de Río Negro y el turismo en Villa Pehuenia-Moquehue, Neuquén

Abstract

El Norte de la Patagonia se ha caracterizado históricamente por ser un territorio con economías de enclave, ligadas principalmente al petróleo y gas, y con ganadería extensiva o agricultura selectiva. Sin embargo, desde las últimas décadas, la región ha profundizado su rol de oferente de recursos naturales en un contexto de profundización del modelo extractivista. En este sentido, a la explotación hidrocarburífera, minera y forestal se suman, entre otras, la especulación inmobiliaria en regiones turísticas. Este avance genera conflictos con actividades agrarias tradicionales, como lo es la frutihorticultura, sostenida en explotaciones de base familiar, o bien, la ganadería extensiva en cordillera. El propósito de este trabajo es caracterizar la frutihorticultura y el turismo a partir de las transformaciones y nuevas dinámicas territoriales que se dan en un contexto de avance de actividades que se consideran extractivas. Este análisis parte de considerar al territorio como espacio socialmente construido, definido y delimitado a partir de relaciones de poder. El trabajo se sustenta en la combinación de metodologías cuali y cuantitativas, junto a procedimientos estadísticos, cartográficos e histórico-comparativos a partir del análisis de estudios de caso
