Acceso a la vivienda en ciudades de Argentina y Brasil

Abstract

A partir de los años 1990 la gestión urbana en América Latina sufre un cambio; nuevas políticas, economía liberal y desreglamentación del Estado. La suma de estos elementos resuelta en un fortalecimiento de la acción privada en la producción del espacio. Simultáneamente, el proceso de globalización económica está en constante desarrollo y se manifiesta en el territorio latinoamericano implicando en una profundización de la desigualdad espacial expresada en los cambios en los espacios de vivienda. El surgimiento de nuevas tipologías se evidencia; unas destinadas a los sectores de mejor poder adquisitivo; otras expresadas en asentamientos precarios como villas y favelas, lo que mostró la acentuación del problema habitacional en el continente.
