Abstract

This article begins with a data selection regarding the internationalization of the literary studies in Argentine between 1958 and 2015. It highlights one of the internationalization’s indicators: the translation. This indicator pinpoints the place of our production in the international circulation of ideas. With this data we focus in one “case”: We describe the tension between Beatriz Sarlo’s practices of internationalization and her self-figuration. We draw some hypotheses about the ethical and political connotations of her intellectual position in accordance with the sacrilegious assumptions that have marked her trajectory, in general, and her role in the consolidation and institutionalization of literary studies in Argentina, in particular
