Relatos de viaje a la China socialista: Una relectura de testimonios de viajeros argentinos en los años ´50

Abstract

En el presente artículo proponemos abordar los viajes de argentinos a la República Popular China desde una perspectiva multidimensional. A través de testimonios de viaje publicados nos proponemos adentrarnos a los temas, las reflexiones y los intereses que revelaban los viajeros. Nos centraremos en el establecimiento de comparaciones y paralelismos (reales o “alegadas”) entre la “vieja” China y América Latina. Consideramos que dichas imágenes y una singular apropiación de categorías, se fundieron con la propia realidad argentina y facilitaron la incidencia del maoísmo como corriente política en dicho país.

No presente artigo nos propomos abordar as primeiras viagens dos argentinos à República Popular da China a partir de uma perspectiva multidimensional. Através de testemunhas de viagem publicadas visaremos aprofundar nos temas, reflexões e interesses revelados pelos viajantes. O foco da análise será o estabelecimento de comparações e paralelismos (reais ou não) entre a “velha” China e a América Latina. Consideramos que tais imagens e categorias dialogaram com a própria realidade argentina e facilitaram a incidência do maoísmo como corrente política naquele país.
