Violencia contra los pueblos originarios: estructural y de coyuntura

Abstract

Epítetos racistas, invasión de viviendas, despojo de territorios, asesinatos a manos de las fuerzas de seguridad ponen en evidencia que concepciones que vertebraron la constitución del estado nacional argentino respecto a los indígenas no son cosa del pasado.En este artículo sostenemos que la mayor parte de las acusaciones no son novedosas y pueden rastrearse históricamente incluso hasta la etapa de conformación del Estado nacional argentino, y que muchas de las nociones en relación a los pueblos originarios han permanecido cristalizadas, sin actualización alguna, y emergen con violencia cuando los propios indígenas participan de la arena pública, reclaman derechos y hacen política. Aun así, esto no equivale a argumentar que todo es lo mismo y siempre fue igual en la relación entre estado y comunidades.
