Del no peronismo al antiperonismo: El diario Opinión, Villa María, Córdoba, Argentina (1950-1955)

Abstract

This article addresses the political position of a local newspaper during classical Peronism (1950-1955). More specifically, the newspaper Opinion of the city of Villa María, Córdoba, Argentina. We maintain that Opinion was constituted a non-Peronist political actor, at least until 1955, when the self-proclaimed Liberation Revolution took place and binary demarcation processes were generated at the local level. Previously, he presents a critical stance to Peronism - ambivalent, rather than oppositional - that refers almost exclusively to political and social events in the city. By establishing the category of non-Peronism, we try to understand the positioning of actors that are difficult to locate in one or another of the dichotomous spaces -peronism / anti-Peronism- from which the relationship between classical Peronism and its opponents is generally understood. Likewise, we invite the opening of new knowledge frameworks that allow the reconstruction of the complex and multiple dynamics of local spaces, not limited to a perspective anchored in a national dimension.
