The following work aims to explore the footprint or registration of the dogs in the work of Juan L. Ortiz contemplating the double or dual character of an animal that appears both familiar and strange. On the other hand, we will point out how the inside and the outside converge in a shaking of any category of the public or the private. Such turmoil opens the way to think about other categories of the political that, in turn, will say something of the language and poetics in Ortiz.
