Complejo agroalimentario de Aloe: Desafíos y oportunidades para La Pampa

Abstract

Los productos alimentarios que contienen Aloe en sus diversas formas vienen en franca expansión mundial. La producción, comercio y consumo han aumentado de manera exponencial, principalmente en los nichos de consumo de alimentos saludables y naturales. En Argentina, la producción de materias primas (hojas de Aloe) y su transformación industrial en suplementos dietarios y productos alimenticios, es insuficiente para bastecer el mercado interno. La mayoria de los actores identificados se encuentra integrado verticalmente, cumpliendo funciones de producción, transformación y distribución. La dinámica actual y las principales proyecciones presentan desafíos y oportunidades para la provincia de La Pampa, territorio que, por sus condiciones agroecológicas, ubicación e infraestructura podría promover negocios productivos que atiendan la demanda del mercado provincial, nacional e internacional. Los resultados expouestos permiten contextualizar el complejo alimentario, generando información que puede ser de utilizada para la toma de decisiones públicas, privadas e insititucionales.
