Los cangrejos (Decapoda: Brachyura): ecofisiología y ontogenia de los cangrejos de marismas y estuarios

Abstract

En el presente capítulo se describen los aspectos conocidos de la relación organismo-ambiente en los cangrejos de estuarios y marismas de Argentina, particularmente Neohelice granulata, a lo largo de la ontogenia, desde los estadios embrionarios hasta los juveniles. Se incluye el desarrollo de los embriones y su relación con el ambiente, la eclosión de las larvas, la ecología larval, y los efectos ambientales sobre el desarrollo larval y juvenil, la nutrición, el ciclo de muda, el crecimiento, la composición química y el metabolismo larval, los efectos de las fases de desarrollo (efectos carry-over), las variaciones inter e intrapoblacionales, el asentamiento larval, la metamorfosis y el reclutamiento.
