Fecundidad y determinantes socioeconómicos: Un análisis de heterogeneidad espacial para la Argentina

Abstract

La relación entre la fecundidad y sus determinantes socioeconómicos puede estar condicionada por conductas sociales a nivel local. Utilizando la distancia geográfica como una aproximación de los efectos sociales, este trabajo analiza el grado de heterogeneidad de las condiciones socioeconómicas sobre la fecundidad departamental en la Argentina. Mediante regresiones geográficamente ponderadas se confirma el rol de las interacciones sociales en la variabilidad local de los factores explicativos. Estas conclusiones son obtenidas con información proveniente de los Censos de 2001 y 2010 y al nivel más bajo de desagregación posible para la Argentina, es decir, departamental.
