¿Qué fue el Pacto Social?

Abstract

Las elecciones presidenciales de 2019 trajeron al ruedo un término que hacía muchos años no se escuchaba en la Argentina: Pacto Social. Esa fue la propuesta que esgrimió el principal candidato de la oposición, Alberto Fernández, y su compañera de fórmula, Cristina Fernández. Para superar la crisis, nos decían, había que reeditar un acuerdo entre trabajadores y empresarios, como el que puso en marcha Perón en 1973. Aquel Pacto Social aparece, en la mitología peronista, como un momento en que los trabajadores obtuvieron mejoras significativas en sus condiciones de vida. ¿Pero realmente fue así? ¿Qué ganaron y qué perdieron los trabajadores con el Pacto Social de 1973? En este libro nos proponemos ir más allá del mito y analizar aquél momento histórico desde todas sus aristas: lo económico, pero también lo social y lo político. Comprender nuestro pasado reciente nos permitirá evaluar mejor qué podemos esperar a futuro.
