Abstract

Objectives: The aim of this study was examining differences in negative personality traits according to the occupational category and type of position (with or without staff in charge). The theoretical perspective for the analysis of the results is the model called Dark Triad (Palthus & Williams, 2002). Participants: 142 employees (66 male, 76 female); mean age: 40.6 years old (SD=12.5). Most of them lived in Buenos Aires (94.4%). Materials: Sociodemographic and job data Survey; Dark Triad (Jones & Paulhus, 2014 / adaptation of Salessi & Omar, 2018). Results: firstly, occupations were categorized according to the type of predominant tasks in the analyzed sample, generating five occupational categories (legal, health, education, commercial, industrial). Then, using univariate analysis (ANOVA) it was determined that employees who work in legal and industrial tasks, have higher levels of psychopathy trait [F = 1,196; 4 gl; p .05, n2 = .041).
