Abstract

It is proposed to study the logical economic and spatial aspects of Argentine retail, concentration and centralization, spatial deconcentration and spatial concentration of capital, based on the proposal of the urban economy circuits, and particularly the existence and consolidation of the superior circuit in the current period. The corporate use of the territory causes new urban hierarchies according to the technical, organizational, informational and financial possibilities of the different regions and cities. In Tandil, as in many other cities in the interior of the province of Buenos Aires, the commercial capital was more diversified and competitive and less oligopolized, with national capital coming from different regional cities and medium cities. However, the loss of the regional upper marginal circuit has reinforced the command place of the metropolis of Buenos Aires and the omnipresence of the metropolitan superior circuit.
