Discapacidad desde los giros narrativo, corporal y afectivo en ciencias sociales

Abstract

El presente capítulo propone compartir el proceso colectivo desarrollado desde el Instituto de Estudios de Trabajo Social y Sociedad, de la Facultad de Trabajo Social de la UNLP, Argentina, por un grupo de investigadoras e investigadores. El proyecto de investigación inicia en 2020 en clave de continuidad en el desafío de adicionarse a un proyecto colectivo que busca inscribir las preocupaciones en torno a la discapacidad desde las ciencias sociales. En tal sentido, entendemos junto a Yarza, Pérez y Sosa (2019) que las ciencias sociales latinoamericanas no han incursionado de modo ampliado en el tema discapacidad, configurando una agenda incipiente. Si bien desde principios del siglo XX se pueden encontrar intelectuales y académicos en los campos de la educación y la salud, su paradigma dominante estuvo marcado por un mecanicismo positivista, altamente patologizante, medicalizante y normalizante. (Barral, et. al, 2000; Pinel e Itard, 1978, Foucault, 2011)
