Abstract

En este dossier nos proponemos acercar a la comunidad sociológica una serie de contribuciones sobre las múltiples relaciones entre ciencia, universidad y sociedad. La sociología del siglo XX es una de las disciplinas que más ha contribuido a la constitución del moderno campo de estudios sociales de la ciencia, y lo ha hecho mediante la formulación de algunas de las tesis más provocativas y fecundas sobre la conformación social del conocimiento científico, sobre las bases sociales de la organización institucional de la investigación moderna y sobre el carácter controversial y siempre discutible de la hegemonía del conocimiento experto sobre el desarrollo de la sociedad.
