La mortalidad infantil en Tucumán

Abstract

Este libro presenta, por un lado, la reedición de la obra clásica de Rodríguez Marquina titulada La mortalidad infantil en Tucumán, editada por los Talleres de la Provincia en 1899. En dicho estudio realizaba un aporte sustancial para el conocimiento de la situación sanitaria provincial en dicho momento histórico. La obra se encuentra actualmente agotada, lo cual motivó la presente reedición. Por otro lado, se realizó una edición revisada de la obra, valorando el aporte de Rodríguez Marquina desde distintas disciplinas, y detectando la evolución del problema de la mortalidad infantil en Tucumán, señalando a su vez las principales características que asume dicho flagelo en los primeros años del siglo XXI. Intervinieron científicos provenientes de la historia, geografía, antropología y medicina.
