Abstract

This article analyzes two of the main philosophical and political essays introduced by Mariano Moreno in the Gazeta de Buenos Aires: "Pensamientos de un Patriota Español" y "Sobre las miras del Congreso".The first one constitutes one of the most representative documents of the revolutionary movement in Spain. The reception of this writing as well as others reflections and uses that Moreno gives to the revolutionary experience is approached from the analysis of the second essay, which represents his reflection of greater doctrinal systematity. This work, therefore, belongs to the field of studies on Political Discourses, focused on the circulation, reception and appropriation of ideas and discourses in the hispanic world, taking asreference the approaches and methodology of Conceptual History and Political Languages.
