Propiedad comunal, desigualdad y conflicto en la baja Edad Media castellana

Abstract

¿Existe en la Edad Media una propiedad en sentido absoluto? Las nociones de privado y comunal ¿son formas opuestas y contradictorias? ¿Qué papel cumple el conflicto social en la determinación de unas y otras? El régimen comunal de aprovechamientos en la Baja Edad Media se inscribe, no sin contradicciones, dentro de un sistema social atravesado por el privilegio estamental; quienes disponen de él conciben la propiedad como un poder que trasciende la cosa y se proyecta principalmente sobre los hombres.
