Inmigración y nacionalismo: Dialécticas y configuraciones identitarias en Leopoldo Marechal

Abstract

La indagación identitaria conforma, en la producción de Leopoldo Marechal, una clave de lectura constante que sostiene muchas representaciones y cuestiones propuestas en su escritura. No se trata solamente de una problematización de corte histórico-político tendiente a configurar el imaginario alrededor de los estatutos de Estado-Nación o de pueblo, sino una necesidad, se podría decir "existencial" o "espiritual", de definir una identidad y una trayectoria "poética", en relación con una tradición cultural. Es importante para ello rastrear las diversas inscripciones textuales que contribuyen a trazar la construcción imaginaria y colectiva de la identidad nacional y de las nociones de "patria" y "nación" en la(s) dialéctica(s) entre la mismidad y la alteridad, incluyendo, además, la definición de canon y tradición literaria en la producción marechaliana. Clave en este proceso de hermeneusis es la configuración del fenómeno inmigratorio, entendido como proceso de conformación estratificada, conflictiva y dialéctica de la sociedad y de la cultura en la movilidad y los contactos, y como nudo semántico central, es decir, genotexto de una tradición literaria y ensayística argentina con la cual dialoga y polemiza Marechal.
