La siembra directa aumenta la densidad aparente y la dureza del suelo y reduce su porosidad pero estos efectos no llegan a niveles de riesgo agronomico. La estabilidad estructural y la infiltración se incrementan signficativamente bajo siembra directa, permitiendo un mayor almacenaje de agua del suelo para los cultivos.
