Saberes locales sobre la flora y la fauna: Resignificaciones del discurso preservacionista sobre la biodiversidad en la Zona Núcleo Forestal

Abstract

El objetivo de este capítulo es analizar los saberes locales sobre la flora y la fauna de los habitantes de la Zona Núcleo Forestal (ZNF). Nos interesa dar cuenta de las maneras en que resignifican el concepto de biodiversidad y las prescripciones del discurso preservacionista sobre las formas más adecuadas de relacionarse con ciertas especies que habitan el Delta del río Paraná. Nos interesa analizar las maneras en que los isleños son interpelados por el llamado a conservar/preservar la biodiversidad y, a la vez, cuáles son sus saberes acerca de lo que se define como flora y fauna locales. Justifica esta búsqueda el hecho de que durante nuestro trabajo de campo etnográfico hemos encontrado que los lugareños tienen sus propios saberes sobre el entorno natural donde viven y sobre la diversidad biológica que lo caracteriza, particularmente en relación a lo que es considerado como flora y fauna y/o como plantas y animales.
