Mujeres migrantes y cuidado comunitario en contextos de marginalidad urbana

Abstract

Dentro de los nexos posibles entre las migraciones y los cuidados, este capítulo busca poner foco en un tema poco explorado aún dentro del campo de estudios sobre migraciones y género, como son las especificidades que adquieran las prácticas de cuidado comunitario que desarrolla un grupo de mujeres peruanas en un barrio de relegación urbana de la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina. El género, en tanto dimensión clave de la vida social (Gasper y Truong, 2014), y la migración representan aspectos de diferenciación en las ciudades contemporáneas (Bastia, 2017: 2). En tal sentido, lo que nos interesa es rescatar la centralidad de lo comunitario para explicar las trayectorias migratorias y las estrategias de subsistencia más actuales que los y las migrantes sudamericanos/as despliegan en áreas urbanas periféricas de Argentina.
