El artículo analiza cómo un conjunto de actores sociales producen una visión acerca del "conflicto" en Medio Oriente mediante una matriz de sentido que hemos denominado "Israelismo". Se concentra en cómo el movimiento religioso ortodoxo Jabad Lubavitch proyecta un discurso sobre la base de esta matriz, mostrando cómo las categorías de sionismo y antisionismo se vuelven obstáculos epistemológicos para la comprensión de los modos de construcción simbólica y discursiva del "conflicto" entre Israel y el mundo palestino- árabe- islámico. El artículo se concentra en los contenidos del discurso israelista jabadiano y en sus articulaciones con el discurso del sionismo de derecha. El artículo se propone construir una definición del concepto de israelismo y analizar sus potencialidades heurísticas.
