Abstract

El material de lectura referido a vacunas veterinarias ha tenido y siguen teniendo, un papelimportante en la salud animal, en la salud pública, el bienestar animal y también en la producción de alimentos. Este material supone un desarrollo importante de contenidos en forma escrita. A la fecha, no se cuenta con textos que formulen de manera ordenada, concisa y prácticaconceptos básicos de las vacunas y vacunaciones en las especies domésticas, en animales deproducción y de compañía. Los alumnos de los cursos de inmunobiología animal aplicada, asícomo también de otros cursos relacionados, como enfermedades de las diferentes especies,clínica y producción animal no cuentan en la actualidad con material bibliográfico de estudio yconsulta, que concentre e interrelacione los conceptos inmunológicos con los de producción,uso y aplicación de vacunas veterinarias. Contar con este libro de Cátedra es de suma importancia para crear un material de consulta compilado, de rápido acceso y fácil lectura para ungran número de Docentes y Alumnos, que sin perder rigor científico ni académico suma a lacomprensión efectiva de estas relevantes temáticas veterinarias.
