Emergencia climática y carnismo: Una salida posible desde un enfoque integrado sociocultural y nutricional

Abstract

Los principios fundacionales de los estudios críticos animales plantean, entre otros aspectos, una política de liberación total, que supone tanto la necesidad como la imposibilidad de separar la liberación de los animales humanos de los no humanos y de la Tierra, en una lucha integral e inclusiva, al mismo tiempo que diversa. Hoy en día, esta cuestión toma un nuevo impulso ante la pandemia por COVID-19, que proporciona un indicio de cómo la humanidad está viendo amenazada su capacidad de supervivencia, dado el impacto ambiental que provoca la cría y explotación de animales no humanos para consumo a nivel global, lo cual sólo podrá ser evitado a partir de profundos cambios en los hábitos actuales, incluyendo la adopción consciente de dietas basadas en plantas.
