Etnohistoria andina: Antecedentes y consolidación

Abstract

La Etnohistoria andina se pensó desde sus inicios como un ámbito de investigación interdisciplinario que buscaba trascender los límites de "una historiografía que había ponderado el análisis histórico de las sociedades coloniales haciendo hincapié en su herencia hispánica, por un lado y, por otro, una práctica antropológica circunscripta a los estudios etnográficos de comunidades contemporáneas" (Boixadós 2000: 133). En las siguientes páginas realizaremos un recorrido por los antecedentes de esta propuesta de investigación y los aportes que se realizaron al estudio de las sociedades andinas en las décadas de su mayor auge: 1970 y 1980.
