Abstract

El objetivo general de este trabajo es estudiar los patrones de abundancia de los componentes del bucle microbiano en lagunas pampeanas, utilizando como marco de referencia la Teoría de Estados Estables Alternativos (Scheffer et. al.; 1993) y el modelo de Gasol (1994). En la laguna El Triunfo (aguas claras) la abundancia de bacterias heterótrofas (BH) y flagelados heterótrofos (FH) se encuentran sobre el extremo más productivo del modelo de Gasol (1994), y el grado de acople entre estos componentes es débil. Desde el punto de vista de la teoría de estados alternativos, esta laguna constituye un caso en el que parecen cumplirse sus predicciones, cuando en la práctica no se cumplen sus premisas. En la laguna Chascomús (aguas turbias), las abundancias de BH exceden el límite máximo contemplado en el modelo de Gasol (1994), y el grado de acople observado entre FH y BH resultó levemente superior a las predicciones del modelo.
