Abstract

Entre las décadas finales del siglo XIX y los primeros años del XX, Argentina se ubicó entre los países cuya economía había logrado un crecimiento más significativo. El aumento de la producción de bienes primarios exportables, y su ingreso privilegiado al mercado mundial, se sustentó en gran medida en la puesta a producir de vastas extensiones de tierras, proceso en el que el aporte extranjero de capital y mano de obra fue decisivo y en cuyo arribo, desempeñó un papel central el estímulo estatal…
